SKETCH OF TALINGCHAN FLOATING MARKET

Here is my sketch of Talingchan floating market. The first attempt was like a pattern and another one I tried to compose it in different scale. Everything that I drew is provided in the market.

Talingchan Floating Market

This market is located on the canal Khlong Chak Phra in Bangkok in front of the district office. It is open only on weekends from about 8:30 to 16:00. Orchard produce such as fruits, and vegetables, as well as fish are sold from boats. There is a live traditional Thai music performance from 11:00 to 14:00. The idea for the floating market here was initiated by Chamlong Srimuang in 1987 to honor King Bhumibol's 60th birthday. This is a new attraction since floating markets, an old way of life of the Thai people, had vanished entirely from Bangkok for quite a long time.

The Taling Chan Floating Market takes place at the weekends in front of Taling Chan District Office. Only recently discovered by tourists, the market is entirely authentic and frequented by locals. Fruit, vegetables, flowers, plants and trinkets are on offer, and a market a boat trip along the canal will reveal a host of small gardens and villages that are worth seeing.

Tutorial 1:1 after module 2 presentation

Today I have a tutorial with my supervisor, it's the first time after the module 2 presentation. She has comments me to explore the illustration style, make consistent and focused. She warning me that don't be too specific with brand names when I illustrate food. Look at creating a brand name for my social travel experience...suitcase series, and think about the durability of the book as well. Could it have pockets to collect info or not?

The Victoria and Albert Museum Tour

Today I went to the V&A museum. The Victoria and Albert Museum, London, is the world's largest museum of decorative arts and design, housing a permanent collection of over 4.5 million objects. It was founded in 1852 and named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
I found stuff from Thailand in this museum; so surprised!

As you can see from the pictures they are in the Thai style (Lai Kanok).
