Flower market in Bangkok

I started to sketch more and here is an interesting place in Bangkok. It is a big flower market called Pakkrong Tarad. Bangkok Flower Market (Pak Klong Talad) is the biggest wholesale and retail fresh flower market in Bangkok. The market has all kinds of popular flowers and flora-related items, including roses, forget me nots, orchids, lilies and more. Most of them are sold in packs of 50 or 100, and prices are amazingly cheap. Part of the Old City, Bangkok Flower market is located on Chak Phet Road near Saphan Phut or the Memorial Bridge. Shops and vendors are housed inside two to three-storey shop-houses on both sides of the main road. The market lies just south of Wat Pho (Temple of the Reclining Buddha) and has access to a river pier, so it makes for a great one-day trip when combined with other historical attractions in the Old City. http://www.bangkok.com/shopping-market/pak-klong-market.htm

Here is my sketch of Pakkrong Talad, I tried to draw everything that I think when my audience go to the flower market they can see it along the road.

Design app

After the tutorial last week, I have explored some mobile applications such as Instagram, Facebook, Tripadvisor and so on. I use the information and knowledge that I got from all of the mobile applications to inspire and develop my project. I found that when people go travelling, they want to share their experiences with others as you can see from social media Instagram and Facebook. People love to share their pictures.

Here is my design for a mobile application.

The meaning of colour

Colours
Another important thing of design is colours. We need to be conscious of what meaning we are conveying when we choose to use one colour over another. It’s important to understand who your target audience is and how your audience responds to colour. (allan-zhang)

My target audience is young people between 18-28 years old so the mood & tone of my project is colourful, vivid and free.
