Holiday in the north of the UK
After my last tutorial I went on vacation with my friends in the north of the UK: Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow. We did not know about the way to go or information so we had to find out. It was an opportunity for me to think about my project. First day we went to Newcastle to saw the Millennium Bridge at night. It was so beautiful.
The second day
we went to Edinburgh. We drove along the road and did something crazy. We did
not know the way or where to go, we just opened the map and the guide book for
finding some place that could be interesting. I had never done this before but
I gained more experience than I could get at school or university. We
celebrated Christmas together, that was fun and I was very happy

allows me to easily create my own website I tried it and found the information
about how to create the website by myself. Today I created the background that
I will have on my homepage.

COLOUR PALETTE
This is the
color palette; I tried to do it in two sections. But I found it is not
interesting for young people. Today I met Peter who is the programme leader of Ma
Graphic. He advised me to see more advertising or posters for young people
because my work is too childish, and I actually agree with him.

The questionnaire
I have surveyed
a questionnaire about my project. I want to know what my target audience wants
to know when they travel. I would also like to know which method that they want
to see such as mobile applications, websites, book, e-book, etc.

Tutorial 4
Today
I had a tutorial with my supervisor. This is the last tutorial before
Christmas. We discussed my project. I should focus on my audience. My audience is
younger travelers so I have to cut some places out such as temples. I should develop
a questionnaire asking my target audience what they want to know when they
travel.
My supervisor suggested doing my project online. It will be nice if I can do it. My big problem is I have no skills. So, I found something very interesting. I found a website where I can create and design by myself. I am really glad. So, I will do my best with my travel book and website.

DUSIT ZOO
Today
I tried to sketch some of Bangkok’s attractions.
The first one is Dusit zoo. I have drawn a map because I think it will useful for travelers. I designed a layout as well. I will show some Thai words about the zoo on this page such as the names of animals.

In the example, I put some Thai words about
animals such as lions, elephants or birds. One more thing, I provided some short
Thai phrases that foreign travelers can use to communicate with Thai people.

Loy Kratong festival
This is the
second activity that I recommended foreign travelers if they are in Thailand
during the month of November.
Here is my sketch for Wat Saket or Phu Khao Thong which has a big Loy Krathong festival in Bangkok every year.
Last Wednesday was Loy Kratong day in Thailand. I was so sad that I could not join
in the festival this year. On Loy Kratong day, Thai people always go to Loy
Krathong with their family, friends, or lover (Loy is to float and Kratong is
something made from banana leaf or bread). The festival is believed to
apologize to Pra Mae Kong Ka who Thai people respect. People usually go to this
festival with their family, friends or lover because they believed that they
will walk together forever if they go to Loy Kratong in somebody's company.

Manchester field trip
Today I went
to Manchester with my classmates. I went to the Imperial war museum. Actually,
I thought the museum would be so boring, but it was not true. There are many
interesting things to be seen there. The museum had lots of information and
history about wars. The collection has many things about war and soldiers. One
thing that impressed me was letters from soldiers. It is really nice because in
the past it was very hard to contact someone, soldiers wrote letters to
communicate to their loved ones.
Fascinating
presentation of a timeline of 20th-century conflict.

PHONETIC ALPHABET
A phonetic alphabet is a list of words used to
identify letters in a message transmitted by radio or telephone. Spoken words
from an approved list are substituted for letters. For example, the word
"Navy" would be "November Alfa Victor Yankee" when spelled
in the phonetic alphabet. This practice helps to prevent confusion between
similar sounding letters, such as "m" and "n", and to
clarify communications that may be garbled during transmission.
The
words chosen to represent some letters have changed since the phonetic alphabet
was introduced. When these changes occur, they are made by international
agreement. The current phonetic alphabet was adopted in 1957.
Examples
of the Thai phonetic alphabet
Gor
Gai is the first letter of the Thai alphabet
This is the first Thai consonant.
It is pronounced "Gor Gai". We add a word with the letter to make it
easier. When you say the word, you should it should be gor gai.
The word "gor" has no meaning. It's a consonant and need to be mixed with other consonants and vowels to create a meaningful word.

First tutorial
Today is my first tutorial with my supervisor. I'm
so excited but I am worried about it because I do not know how to present.
However, I think that if I do something wrong I will just work to improve it.
Finally, I can do it. :)
I found information about our alphabet and its evolution.

The beginning of my project
My
project is an investigation into creating a Thai alphabet illustration book for
foreigners inspired by Lai Thai (Thai style).
My specific area of interest is to create and
illustrate the 44 symbols of the Thai alphabet suitable for both foreigners and
people in my country that will be recognized and appealing.
Mind map.
I choose language and culture because I think
there are very interesting topics and have aspects unique to the Thai language
and traditions.
Culture is Thai style (Lai Thai)
Thai alphabet and phonetic symbols.
