Then I created the mobile application logos. Why did I use green? It's
because the color of Bangkok is green. One more thing, I used a character which
is a Thai giant, TukTuk car or Temple on the logos.

The interview
What do you think about the books
in the market, nowadays?
There
are many people who still love reading books yet many people shift their reading
habits from paper to digital books such as Kindles (Amazon), tablets and eBooks
because it's more convenient.
If you had an
opportunity to create a travel book, what method do you prefer to do? E-book,
book, apps or etc. why?
E-book
is the cheapest and simplest way to do a digital book because it can be read across
platforms. However, creating an application would be more flexible and it is possible
to have special creativity. With unlimited budget, the creative way might be to
produce an actual paper book able to interact with mobile/tablet applications
using Augmented Reality (AR) technology
When you create
or design an application, what is your thinking behind it?
1.
Target audience, who is the one that going to read this book such as men,
women, teenage, young adult or 2-5 years old kids.
2.
Pick platform that match with the target
3.
Design application based on target behavior (included suitable user interface,
user experience and graphic)
My project is
about travel book with an application, could you suggest something about this?
5
W’s, 1 H
Who
- Who is it for?
What
- What platform should be used?
Where
- Where will it be launched?
When
- Time of releasing application?
Why
- Why the target will use this app? (Reason to believe such as it's a useful
app that everyone needs to have because it comes with features that no other
application can provide)
How
- How to communicate or spread awareness of this application to target?
***Consumer
insight is the key to success of this application, you will need to dig deep into
customers’ mind to see what they need and what they want, weight the major
features and minor features, find the POP (Point of parody) and POD (Point of difference).

Blast from the past: queen sirikit museum of textiles
Last Friday, I went to Queen Sirikit Museum Of Textiles. Here is the
history of this place.
In 2003, Her Majesty Queen Sirikit of
Thailand, requested permission to use a then-vacant building on the grounds of
the Grand Palace to house a new museum of textiles. The 1870 Ratsadakorn-bhibhathana building was graciously granted for
this purpose by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The office building — for
many decades the Ministry of Finance — was completely remodeled into a
state-of-the-art museum. Its modern facilities include a new lobby, galleries,
storage, an education studio, library, lecture hall, and Thailand’s first dedicated textile conservation laboratory. Nonetheless, its
past is still very much present, in the preservation of its original façade and
many internal architectural details.
The museum’s mission is to collect, display,
preserve, and serve as a centre for all who wish to learn about textiles, past
and present, from Southeast Asia, South Asia, and East Asia, with a special
emphasis on the textiles of, and related to, the royal court and Her Majesty
Queen Sirikit.

Songkran festival in Thailand
Rot Nam Dam Hua |
Songkran festival in the past. |
Songkran festival in the past. |
In the
past, people always dress up in Thai traditional dress. However, the times have
changed, people enjoy this festival by going out on the streets to throw water
at each other.
Nowadays, the emphasis is on fun and water-throwing rather than on the festival's spiritual and religious aspects, which sometimes prompts complaints from traditionalists. In recent years there have been calls to moderate the festival to lessen the many alcohol-related road accidents as well as injuries attributed to extreme behavior such as water being thrown in the faces of travel motorcyclists.
The water is sometimes filled with fragrant herbs and is meant as a symbol of washing all of the bad luck away when celebrated in the traditional manner. However, the tradition has changed but you can still see Thai styles on the dresses at Songkran parades.
